Description
White Gold Nautilus Date Sweep Seconds
Polishing is done by hand at Patek Philippe and is known as “free floating” or “float polishing.” This extremely difficult ultrafine technique uses no pressure to produce a surface that is incredibly smooth and free of harm. The polisher uses a range of variously sized disks of cloth, felt, or hair (real or synthetic), each covered with a minimally abrasive paste, depending on the desired result. Polishing takes labor-intensive, precise work. A bracelet might require two hours of polishing, a gold case an hour and a half, and a fine platinum case four. Patek Philippe White Gold Nautilus Date Sweep Seconds luxury wrist watch.
