This Oyster Perpetual Explorer II Oyster 42mm Oystersteel boasts a Chromalight display, an arrow-shaped 24-hour hand, and arrow-shaped hour markings. It has an oyster bracelet and is constructed of oystersteel. The Explorer II has a second 24-hour display. Instead of the usual 12-hour display, a distinctive hand that circles the dial in 24-hour increments points to a fixed bezel with 24-hour graduations. This function enables the user to distinguish between the hours of day and the hours of night for people who travel into areas where darkness prevails supremely, such as the depths of caves, or where the sun never sets, such as the arctic regions in summer.
