The Air King upholds the aeronautical legacy of the original Rolex Oyster with its 40 mm Oystersteel case, solid-link Oyster bracelet, and striking black face. The Air-King Oyster 40mm Oystersteel dial includes a striking black background, a mixture of large 3, 6, and 9 numerals for the hours, as well as a prominent minute scale for determining the current time during navigation. In the same typeface that was created especially for the model in the 1950s, it carries the moniker Air-King.
